Just finished this book and quite frankly had trouble putting it down. I enjoy a strong female protagonist as well as her strong male counter part. Megan and Reijo fit the bill. The whiley old scholar, Kavi adds to the action and the intrigue of this book. Clan and planet politics regarding women and their place in the Vukasin world is an interesting premise for the writer to build on (in what I hope is a series of books following this one). I hope in the future, should the author decide to write a sequel to this book, she does give Ghaleb-the king a little bigger set of cojones to rule the council. I think he will need them.

I would have given this book a 5 star, but feel that it does need more editing in regards to the use of present and past tense, spelling and some grammar issues. As an avid reader, these issues can be annoying and distracting when trying read, especially in an e-format.

Once this is done, I feel the author has knock out book and would gladly give it 5 stars all the way around. Thanks for the opportunity to read this book.

Truly fantastic book. Megan is truly the embodiment of all that rocks. She had me rooting for her from the first chapter. Very well written, best alien romance book I have read.
The story itself definitely had potential. But the grammar is absolutely atrocious and that takes a lot of pleasure out of reading. The worst thing is that it's not consistent, almost feels like two different people were writing. There are portions that are well written and then everything goes haywire, then back to normal again. Please have some proof read the book before publishing it!
This was a REALLY good book to read in my opinion. I was surprised by its originality compared to other books of the same nature. This is worth its weight in gold. I highly recommend this book for its well written plot; as well as, that its a breath of fresh air.
I loved this book. I hesitated buying this book due to some of the reviews, so I got the example first. I was hooked right from the beginning. While there are similarities to the Grim series, it's also very different. I definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading the rest of the series. Enjoy! 😀
For the most part I enjoyed the book. The h was a tad to ian for my taste, but that in no way detracted from the review. I certainly prefer a strong female lead over a weak, but when she first 'arrived' and was beating off warriors ten times her size with ease I knew how this would go. But no problem. I liked the ingenuity and the 'world building'. I liked the flow and progression of character and plot development. I just felt that an editor was needed. This felt more like a second draft. I certainly was off-put by the constant switch or combination of past and present tenses in the same paragraph. All of them should have been caught as they were pretty obvious.

Not a bad start though, and I will be following this author to see what she produces next.
This book was very enjoyable despite feeling as if the editor had English as a second language. After the first few hiccups, I was sufficiently into the story and characters and world view that I no longer noticed them. The setting was very similar to Willow Dane's excellent "Warriors of Hir" series - a planet where the female population is in decline, and the search for a mate on Earth. The chemistry between them. The heroine was very fit and athletic. It was all about her. Her rites of passage; her attempts to change the circumstances of all the other stolen women, so in a sense, this takes it out of the steamy romance genre. I will look forward to Book 2.
Well, this book was a surprise. I have read many sci - fi fantasy books and this one is really good.

You will enjoy the action pack scenes, plus the good dialog between each character. Many plot twists that gives depth to this book. There was so much information that need answers that a second book and even a 3rd or 4th would be fine with me. I am getting ready to purchase book #2 after I leave this review.
